A throughplate is a continuous piece of metal inside the lure that connects its attachment points. In a JSL Suave, a stainless-steel plate links the line tie with the hook hangers.

Follow the connection

The line attaches at one point and the hooks attach at others. A continuous plate provides a metal connection between those points within the body. It is a construction detail you cannot judge from the paint finish alone.

How it fits into a Suave

The plate is enclosed during the printing process. The body is then prepared, painted and finished with epoxy by hand. Printing is one stage in the build; sanding, finishing and painting are hands-on parts of the process.

Why the outside still matters

The body provides the lure’s form, and the finish protects its painted surface. The throughplate does not make either one immune to damage. Inspect the whole lure after a session, particularly after hard contact with rocks or other tackle.

Construction is not a breaking-strength claim

A stainless throughplate describes how the lure is made. It does not, by itself, establish a tested breaking load. Hooks, rings, knots, line and the condition of the lure all matter in the complete fishing setup.

Made in Melbourne, one batch at a time

JSL’s process runs from design and printing through body preparation, paint and epoxy. Small differences in the finish reflect that hands-on work. See the Suave size comparison to find the platform that suits your tackle.
